Three aircraft from the 47th Flying Training Wing at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, performed a flyover of San Angelo and Goodfellow May 21, 2020.

The flyover was part of an initiative to honor military and civilian front-line medical professions who are putting themselves at risk to ensure quality care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to inclement weather, the aircraft made their route early to make sure they could still complete the mission, show their support, and be back in their hangars safely.

In addition to San Angelo, the aircraft also performed flyovers of Del Rio and Eagle Pass the same day. The Laughlin community wanted to show it’s appreciation to those fighting the invisible enemy of Coronavirus, which allows the men and women of the military to keep the country safe from other threats.
