Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, Texas – The commitment to valuing instructors in the First Command continues with an Instagram Stories Takeover by on of Air Education and Training Command’s force generators.

Once a month, an instructor from across AETC will take over the AETC Instagram account for a behind-the-scenes look into the day and the life of a force generator at one of AETC’s installations. The first takeover happens Feb. 9 by an Officer Training School instructor at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Capt. Kylee Eaton, has been an OTS instructor for two years at Maxwell. Before volunteering for the developmental special duty assignment, she was in public affairs and an ROTC graduate from the University of Wyoming.

The takeover is part of an AETC campaign to highlight developmental special duty assignments and the importance of these positions to our Air Force and AETC’s valuing force generators priority.

“These instructor positions not only develop the Airmen we need for the future, but also develop the individual who fills them,” said Chief Master Sgt. Erik Thompson, command chief of Air Education and Training Command. “The skills and knowledge gained here as an instructor will benefit these Airmen when they return to their Air Force specialty, making them better leaders and communicators.”

The AETC recruiting, training and instructor corps is critical to ensuring the development of a future force capable of operating in complex environments.
