Lt. Gen. Darryl Roberson, commander of Air Education and Training Command, and Gilbert Montoya, AETC director of Logistics and Force Protection, visited Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, Nov. 16.

Roberson and Montoya toured the T-6A Texan II hangar with the 47th Maintenance Directorate staff to discuss and observe maintenance operations with wing leadership.

This is Roberson’s first visit to Laughlin since taking command of AETC in July 2015.

While at Laughlin, Roberson reiterated the importance of the 47th Flying Training Wing’s mission.

America’s air power, he explained, starts here.
