AC-130W Stinger II brings modern relevance to technical training

The crew of an AC-130W Stinger II from Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, offloads at Sheppard AFB, Texas, Oct. 19, 2020. This AC-130W Stinger II will serve as a new ground instructional trainer for ammo and armament students in the 363rd Training Squadron as well as crew chief student in the 362nd TRS. Previously, students trained on "slick" versions of the C-130, which didn't fully prepare students for what they could potentially face on the flight line once they get to their duty stations after graduation.
