Civil Air Patrol members visit Mobility's Hometown
Civil Air Patrol members watch as a C-17 Globemaster III takes off, July 21, 2021, at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. While the 97th Air Mobility Wing is home to the C-17, the KC-135 Stratotanker, and the KC-46 Pegasus, Civil Air Patrol has its own fleet of 560 light aircraft, composed predominantly of the Cessna 172 Skyhawk and the Cessna 182 Skylane.
