Total force basic trainees part of Air Force Reserve history

Several hundred Total Force Air Force enlisted basic military trainees assigned to the 433rd Training Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, are making history as the first class to enter training in the fully operational, all-Reserve military training squadron. The 433rd TRS, one of seven squadrons assigned to the 340th Flying Training Group at JBSA-Randolph, is the only all-Reserve military training instructor squadron in the Air Force.

Reservists help repair teammate's storm-battered home at Laughlin AFB

Like many in Del Rio, Reserve Citizen Airman Lt. Col. Wolfgang Van Aspe from the 96th Flying Training Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, and his family were in dire straits when an April 27 storm peeled the roof off their house, significantly damaged other areas of the structure, and destroyed a substantial chunk of their personal belongings.

Long-distance support not new for 340th FTG personnel team
