Lieutenant Colonel Michael D. Love is the Commander, 98th Flying Training Squadron, Parachute Team Wings of Blue, The Air Force Parachute Team, 306th Flying Training Group, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. He is responsible for developing Airmen through flight in its purest form ... stand in the door. The unique mission of this squadron uses parachuting operations in order to build the character, leadership and airmanship skills of the Air Force's future leaders. In addition to training more than 840 basic freefall parachutists each year, the squadron fields a nationally renowned demonstration team as well as consecutive national champion competition teams.

Colonel Love graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He is a command pilot with more than 2,500 flying hours including 185 combat hours.
