AETC commander delivers new MC-130J to Kirtland AFB

MARIETTA, Ga., -- An MC-130J Combat Shadow II takes off from Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Ga., March 13. Gen. Edward A. Rice, Jr., commander of Air Education and Training Command delivered aircraft 5682 to Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. "The C-130J is the backbone of the mobility fleet and a critical component in our Airmen's ability to fly, fight and win," said Rice. Eglin AFB conducts first engine run on F-35B

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Marine Corps pilot Maj. Joseph Bachmann, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 501 at the 33rd Fighter Wing at Elgin AFB, Fla., operates aircraft systems in conjunction with the plane captain, known as a crew chief in the Air Force, and other maintenance personnel to monitor the joint strike fighter's health during the first engine run of the F-35B March 14.
