<br />
Two, three-person Critical Care Air Transport Teams from the 81st Medical Operations Squadron at Keesler AFB, Miss., are bringing aid to the earthquake survivors.<br />
<br />
The Team members include Maj. (Dr.) Stephen Boskovich and Capt. (Dr.) Kirk Hinkley, emergency medicine physicians; Capts. John Michael Fowler and Claudia Clark, critical care nurses; and Tech. Sgt. </item><item><title><![CDATA[Altus relocates aircrew training temporarily]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div style="float:left;"><a href="http://www.aetc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123189447"><img border="0" style="margin-right:15px" src="http://www.aetc.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/thumbnails/100204-F-6701S-127.JPG"</img></a></div>Air Force officials at Altus AFB, Okla., ordered three KC-135 Stratotankers and three C-17 Globemaster IIIs along with 67 aircrew and maintenance personnel to Lackland Air Force Base's Kelly Field in San Antonio Texas to resume limited aircrew training operations.<br />
<br />
Aircrew training at Altus AFB came to a halt when a severe ice storm swept through the Oklahoma area knocking out power to the base Jan. 28. The aircraft and personnel will return to the base today.<br />
<br />
"This ice storm has had a major impact on our training operation," said Col. Ty Thomas, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander. <content:encoded><![CDATA[On Feb. 5, Col. Ty Thomas, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander recalled all Airmen and dependents who left Altus AFB, Okla., because of the severe ice storm that struck the base Jan. 28. <br />
<br />
A limited evacuation order was given to Team Altus members because the base lost power for more than eight days. <br />
<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Most crew chiefs aspire to become part of something great like working on Air Force 1 or at NASA. But, one master sergeant at Luke Air Force base landed one of the top special assignments in his career field -- being part of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. <br />

After 20 years of service, eight at Luke, Master Sgt. <content:encoded><![CDATA[The Protestant Community of the 56th Fighter Wing base chapel raised more than $4,200 to help with relief efforts in Haiti. The funds came from the community donating the tithes and offerings at&#160;Sunday services&#160;Jan. 24.<br />

"The monies will be used by World Help, a Christian missionary group, to fund several projects in Haiti," said Chaplain (Capt.) Carlos Brito, 56th Fighter Wing Protestant chaplain. "These include shipping a container with food, water and medicine to the country. <content:encoded><![CDATA[The Army garrison commander here hosted two town hall meetings to inform Fort Sam Houston garrison employees about the progress of Joint Base San Antonio Jan. 28. <br />
<br />
Joint basing, which includes Fort Sam Houston as well as Lackland and Randolph Air Force bases, was mandated by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure decision made by Congress.<br />
<br />
"Here at Fort Sam, the benefit we have from the 2005 BRAC decision is all the growth we are seeing here; the growth you are all a part of," Col.
