  • First Accelerated Path to Wings class graduates at Vance

    Class 21-15 AM, the first Accelerated Path to Wings (XPW) class to graduate at Vance Air Force Base, received their wings during a ceremony held Sept. 23 in the Base Auditorium. They are the second XPW class to graduate in the Air Force.
  • AAFB tackles preparedness month with informative activities

    September is National Preparedness Month, a month long campaign to promote emergency awareness and preparedness for natural and man-made disasters. The 97th Civil Engineer Squadron's Emergency Management Flight shared ready.gov’s 2021 theme of "Prepare to protect; Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love," by hosting a variety of activities throughout the month.

  • Holloman, joint partners sharpen ACE skills

    Since arriving in Hawaii, Airmen from Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, continue training with the Marine Corps and other Air Force units here during exercise Agile Combat Employment Reaper. This two-week joint exercise is designed to sharpen combat readiness, increase strategic impact, and strengthen deterrence efforts by ensuring tactical proficiency of MQ-9 Reaper aircrew. Training exercises like ACE Reaper allow professional militaries to remain combat ready.
  • Luke Airmen enhance F-35 communication

    The 56th Maintenance Group Continuous Improvement and Innovation office developed the F-35A Lightning II communication cable rebuild and class tester box, allowing Airmen to rebuild F-35 communication cables at the unit level.
