  • The Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education tills ground for new CSAF

    The Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education is launching some of the largest doctrine changes in recent memory to support the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s mandate to “accelerate change or lose.” The LeMay Center Commander is the Air Force principal agent for Air Force doctrine and lessons learned, and provides input to joint doctrine. In this role, the LeMay Center ensures the development, promulgation, and teaching of doctrine as a common frame of reference and a starting point for the best way to employ airpower.
  • AETC Studies and Analysis Squadron team, flight commander capture Air Force-level analytics awards

    The Studies and Analysis Squadron at Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command was recently recognized at the Air Force-level with awards in analytics. The SAS Force Development Team was named the USAF’s “Analytic Team of the Year,” while Maj. Brian Morrison, the unit’s Force Development flight commander, earned an honorable mention in the USAF “Combat Analyst of the Year” competition.
  • First AETC Virtual Tech Tuesday planned for March 2

    Airmen are invited to AETC’s first virtual Tech Tuesday, March 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. central. The event is co-hosted by the 2nd Air Force and 19th Air Force and supported by AETC’s Analysis and Innovation Directorate. The virtual event will showcase AETC innovations and foster collaboration by bringing innovators within The First Command together.
  • 2020 Vice Chief’s Challenge winners announced

    The challenge, which launched in February 2020, focused on identifying time-consuming tasks that provide the least direct value to generating combat effects; proposing innovative solutions to streamline current processes through the novel application of technology; and partnering directly with Headquarters Air Force to bring Airmen’s voices to ongoing efforts, including solution-generation and beta-testing of cutting-edge technologies that return time to Airmen.

Kevin Hawkins and 1st Lt. Adam Treece talk about innovation and their creation of a 3-D augmented reality system that will revolutionize the way pilots conduct mission debriefs.
