Goodfellow and Angelo State University signed a new partnership at the Houston Harte University Center, Nov. 13.

Military members who are enrolled in the Community College of the Air Force associate degree program can transfer credits to ASU towards a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences.

The B.A.A.S. now includes a specialization in adult education specifically targeted at instructors on Goodfellow to further their education.

“This program is important because it is giving credit for the CCAF degree,” said Lt. Col. Kevin Boss, 17th Training Group deputy commander. “All career fields can apply their CCAF credits towards their degree.”

Many contributed to the project over the course of five years to maximize the effectiveness of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Angelic Crawford, 17th TRG training administrator, emphasized the importance of the MOU comes from the fact that it enables enlisted members to acquire a bachelor's degree with a specialization in adult education.

Other specializations available in the B.A.A.S. program include, computer science, criminal justice and homeland security.

This MOU makes 11 signed with ASU and 54 total signed with the San Angelo community and Goodfellow.

Goodfellow members interested in enrolling in the B.A.A.S. program, can contact Angelic Crawford or ASU’s Veterans Educational and Transitional Services for further information.
