   What is the e-Catalog?

The e-Catalog will be DAF’s enterprise-wide repository for foundational, occupational, and joint competency-based learning opportunities available to military and DoD civilian personnel. e-Catalog will encompass all DAF education and training opportunities as well as Developmental Special Experiences. The first version of e-Catalog is intended to replace the basic functionality of the current Education and Training Course Announcement.

   Functional Lead

The FD Registrar is the Functional Lead for the e-Catalog, collecting and consolidating requirements in partnership with DAF personnel.  We advocate for funding and guide requirements to ensure the e-Catalog will meet mission needs.

   Advantages

The e-Catalog will be available to all DoD and DAF personnel with a valid Common Access Card and accessible through a cloud-based environment with role-based access.

It will interface with key systems such as the Enterprise Learning Resource Planning and Management and will be the authoritative source for fundamental course information streamlining DAF course life-cycle management.

   DoD Alignment

The FD Registrar is the DAF liaison to the DoD Advanced Distributed Learning Enterprise Course Catalog initiative. The ECC enables a global search capability that pulls information from decentralized local catalogs across the DoD and aggregates the content into a single, Defense-wide portal. As the liaison, we ensure e-Catalog requirements are aligned with DoD standards and included in the ECC.
