TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AETCNS) --
The 325th Civil Engineer Squadron estimated $94,000 worth of damage to Tyndall's base facilities following Hurricane Katrina.
The 325th Civil Engineer Squadron assessed the damage following the Aug. 29 storm. The estimate is based on an initial 24-hour visual assessment of the external areas of the 1,710 base facilities and surrounding property. The majority of damage was to roofs, fences and piers.
The F/A-22 Raptors did not evacuate, and the F-15 Eagles returned to base Aug. 30 from Texas.
