The Great Texas Airshow returns to JBSA-Randolph April 6-7 Published Feb. 2, 2024 By Andrew C. Patterson 502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Great Texas Airshow will take place April 6-7 with this year’s theme of "Service in Action." This free event will showcase the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the F-35A Lightning II, the U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue Parachute Team and more. Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. each day. The aerial acts begin at 11 a.m. on both days. Great Texas Airshow Planned Acts and Performers Military Acts F-35A Demonstration Team USAF Parachute Team Wings of Blue 12th Flying Training Wing Composite Flyby C-17 & KC-46 Demonstration Teams F-35A & P-51 Heritage Flight USAF Thunderbirds Civilian Acts and Performers Tora, Tora, Tora Acrobatic demos by Bill Stein, Tom Larkin, Glamourous Glenn, and Kirby Chambliss Shetterly Squadron Jet Truck/Pitts Various Warbirds (B-29, B-25, P-40, C-121, AH-1 Cobra, T-6, MiG-17, T-33, A-26, P-51, L-17, L-19, PT-17, PT-19, CJ-6, A-4) *Airshow performers subject to change Military Appreciation Day will feature science, technology, engineering, math, (STEM) and cyber events and activities on Fri., April 5. Schools, Junior ROTC, Gold Star Families, Wounded Warriors, and Department of Defense ID cardholders are authorized access. The Great Texas Airshow also includes support from all branches of service and features static displays and aerial demonstrations by many military and civilian acts.
