Goodfellow: Ready to Go Published Oct. 22, 2024 By Senior Airman Zach Heimbuch 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 17th Training Wing conducted a deployment readiness exercise at the Vance Deployment Center, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, Oct. 17, 2024. The exercise ensured Goodfellow’s ability to rapidly and effectively deliver Airmen anywhere on the planet they may be needed. “This exercise is meant to keep us familiar with large-scale deployments as a base and show us where we can be even more efficient,” said Tech. Sgt. Andy Harrison, Wing Staff Agencies Unit Deployment Manager. “We’re always getting new permanent party personnel and members who haven't had to deploy. This gives a sense of familiarity to the staff and deployers so it's not so overwhelming if it has to happen.” Goodfellow: Ready to Go The 17th Training Wing Inspection Team observes deployers moving through the deployment line at the Vance Deployment Center, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, Oct. 17, 2024.
