Air University Teaching & Learning Center: Teaching Essentials

Earners of this badge demonstrated foundational knowledge of teaching and learning theories required to perform as an effective instructor in the student-centered classroom. Earners demonstrated knowledge of how to select and implement instructional strategies and assessments, use technology, and develop professional learning communities.  Click here for the most current information and to apply for the badge. 

Earning Criteria

  • Successfully complete the Teaching Essentials Course offered by Air University Teaching & Learning Center. Earners may take either the multi-day hybrid class or self-paced asynchronous version.
  • Pass the post-assessment after the hybrid course with a minimum of 70% or earn a minimum score of 70% on the post-assessment for each lesson of the asynchronous course.
