Retired Air Force Col. Derrel
Senior Airman Kiefer Luth, 14th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controller, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, visits with his grandfather, retired Air Force Col. Luth graduated from the 334th TRS air traffic control course August 2010. The 334th TRS dedicated the building’s conference room in honor of Dempsey’s military accomplishments. Dempsey, who’s recognized in the Air Force's Communications and Information Hall of Fame, has 30 years of Air Force aviation experience as chief of air traffic control, flight inspection pilot, radar approach control and control tower officer and air traffic control staff officer at various assignments around the world. AF Security Forces Academy graduates pipeline Combat Arms Instructors
Airman 1st Class Tyler Rouillard, Tyler Alexander and Ricardo Lugo graduate from the 343rd Training Squadron Combat Arms Instructor Apprentice Course, Feb. 24, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The Airmen graduated from the Security Forces Apprentice Course in December 2014 and directly enrolled into the CAI course in January. Typically, SF Airmen must complete certain prerequisites, such as promotion to senior airman or staff sergeant, before being retrained into the CAI career field. These Airmen were hand picked out of about 200 volunteer applicants; they had the highest test score, zero derogatory comments, high progress checks, were recommended by their flight chief and instructors, and stood out in a series of three interviews.
