Detachment 7 Activation

Jose LugoSantiago, AFIMSC command chief master sergeant, participate in the official unfurling ceremony of the AFIMSC Detachment 7 flag during the detachment activation May 6 at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Detachment 7 combines and oversees functions in the security forces, civil engineer, base communications, logistics readiness, installation ministry programs, services, operational contracting and financial management fields. The mission of the detachment is to synchronize and execute installation and mission support for commanders from Air Education and Training Command. AFIMSC serves as a single intermediate-level headquarters for the delivery of installation support capabilities throughout the Air Force and reports to Air Force Materiel Command.
