The arrival of the T-7A Red Hawk signals the beginning of a new era in pilot training for Air Education and Training Command.
 
The first T-7A for the Department of the Air Force will be assigned to the 99th Flying Training Squadron at the 12th Flying Training Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.
