5/15/2013 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas  -- Air Education and Training Command manpower officials announced furlough will affect 14,434 civilian employees throughout the command beginning July 8.

On May 14, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel outlined a furlough implementation plan, stating civilians will take up to 11 days of unpaid leave before Sept. 30, down from the 22 days that were originally estimated in February. The number of furlough hours will not exceed 88 hours, or up to 11 discontinuous work days. In most cases, one day per week, or eight hours, equals a 20 percent pay reduction for each individual Department of Defense civilian worker during the furlough period.

There are 822 employees in AETC who are exempt from furlough, based on the work they perform. Exemptions include a broad set of categorical exemptions and specific exemptions requested by each service. Examples include safety, medical and child development center employees.

The planned fiscal year 2013 furlough is estimated to save nearly $1.8 billion.

I understand the 2013 furlough is estimated to save nearly 1.8 billion. My question is why did the US donate more than that to the Muslum Nations httpnation.foxnews.comegypt20130123wh-gives-f-16-s-egyptmuslim-brotherhood
