Chief Master Sergeant CHAD W. BICKLEY

Chief Master Sgt. Chad W. Bickley is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He is the senior enlisted advisor to the AETC commander and senior staff on all matters affecting the readiness, training, development, utilization, and resiliency of the command’s Airmen. The command includes the Air Force Recruiting Service, two numbered air forces and Air University. AETC operates more than 1,400 trainer, fighter and mobility aircraft, 24 wings, 11 bases and five geographically separated groups. The command’s approximately 60,000 active- duty, Reserve, Guard, civilian and contractor personnel train more than 293,000 total force Airmen, joint and international students per year annually, providing combat-ready Airmen to commanders across the Department of Defense.

Chief Bickley entered the Air Force in December 1993 and graduated from the Security Forces Apprentice Course at Lackland AFB, Texas, in May 1994. His background includes various positions throughout the career field to include special duty assignments at the 820th Security Forces Group and the 615th Contingency Response Wing. In addition, he served five years as a Master Military Training Instructor at Air Force Basic Military Training. His assignments include bases in North Carolina, Montana, Georgia, Texas, California, and Idaho. The chief also served overseas in England and deployed in support of Operations SEA SIGNAL, SUPPORT JUSTICE IV, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and several Joint Special Operation Command worldwide flyaway missions.

Prior to assuming his current position in June of 2023, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of 18th Air Force, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
