Mission Statement 
To provide a center for training excellence for 58 SOW flying squadrons and operational Air Force units worldwide. 

58 Training Development Mission Statement
The mission of the 58th Trainer Development, as part of the 58th Training Squadron, at Kirtland AFB, is to design, develop, fabricate, and assemble training devices in support of the 58th SOW and other AETC units at Kirtland AFB, as well as for the USAF Survival School at Fairchild AFB. Unit History
Lineage:
On 1 Mar 2001, the 58th Training Support Squadron consolidated its lineage with the 58th Tactical Training Squadron and became the 58th Training Squadron.

58th Training Support Squadron - constituted as the 58th Support Squadron on 17 Jun 1958 and activated on 15 Jul 1958. Although the unit inactivated on 8 Jul 1960, it was re-designated as the 58th Training Support Squadron on 13 Sep 1995 and activated on 28 Sep 1995.

58th Tactical Training Squadron - constituted on 16 Mar 1970 and activated on 1 Apr 1970, it changed to the 58th Training Squadron on 1 Nov 1991. It was inactivated on 1 Apr 1994 when combined with the 58th Training Support Squadron.
