Steve Kwast will relinquish command of Air Education and Training Command to Lt. Gen. Marshall “Brad” Webb during a change of command ceremony Friday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at JBSA-Randolph. “The success of AETC’s mission to recruit, train and educate Airmen to deliver 21st century airpower relies on our ability to educate the force to execute the full range of joint warfighting missions, all of which are vital to America’s defense strategy and essential to winning wars and establishing peace,” Kwast said. “I am continually inspired by AETC’s 61,000 Total Force Airmen who remain committed to molding warriors by shaping their attitudes, sharpening their minds and helping them reach their full potential.” AETC is one of 10 major commands in the Air Force and is headquartered at JBSA-Randolph. The major command is referred to as the first command to touch the lives of nearly every Airmen through basic training, technical training and flying training.
