New commander of Air Education and Training Command to address media at AFA

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of Air Education and Training Command, will host a media roundtable at the Air Force Association Conference on Tuesday, Sep. 17 from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center Chesapeake A Room.

Webb assumed command on July 26, 2019. He is responsible for 60,000 people who recruit, train and educate Air Force members across Air Force Recruiting Service, two numbered Air Forces and Air University, training 300,000 students annually. 

The AETC team uses state-of-the-art tools to build and develop the force through programs such as Pilot Training Next, Continuum of Learning and Learning Next. 

AETC’s mission is to recruit, train and educate Airmen and as the First Command, is the first Air Force unit where every Airman begins his or her careers.
