AETC announces 2019 Technical Training and Training Support award winners

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Air Education and Training Command announced the 2019 technical training and training support annual award winners Jan. 30, 2020.

The technical training awards recognize the exceptional performance of units, instructors and flight commanders and flight chiefs in formal schools that teach officially designated technical training courses. 

The training support awards recognize the exceptional performance of units and personnel who perform duties in technical training specific to support functions (such as career development course writers, training managers, training development element chiefs, and training evaluators).

“This year’s competition was once again exceptionally strong and these individuals and units have singularly distinguished themselves through their unwavering commitment to and exemplary execution of the AETC mission,” said Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of AETC.

The winners are:

AETC Technical Flight Chief of the Year:  Master Sgt. Robert L. Sheppard – 373rd Training Squadron Det 3 (2nd Air Force) - Dover Air Force Base, Delaware

AETC Technical Training Instructor Civilian of the Year: Mr. Christopher A. Drap – 533rd Training Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Vandenberg Air Force Base, California

AETC Technical Training Instructor Junior Enlisted Airman of the Year: Staff Sgt. Danielle E. Armstrong – 58th Airlift Squadron (19th Air Force) - Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma

AETC Technical Training Instructor NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Christopher D. Grunert – 334th Training Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi

AETC Technical Training Instructor Senior NCO of the Year:  Master Sgt. Kennecia J. Williams – OL-A 334rd TRS (2nd Air Force) – Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraksa

AETC Technical Training Instructor Officer of the Year:  Capt. Brinetta M. Hence – 533rd Training Squadron (2nd Air Force ) – Vandenberg Air Force Base, California

AETC Technical Training Squadron of the Year: 313th Training Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas

AETC Training Support Civilian of the Year (Cat I): Ms. Robin G. Doaty – 345th Training Squadron (37th TRW) – Fort Lee, Virginia

AETC Training Support Civilian of the Year (Cat II): Ms. Crystal D. Turgeon – 22nd Training Support Squadron (Air University) – Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama

AETC Training Support Civilian of the Year (Supervisory): Ms. Sunday-Rae Duarte – 335th Training Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi

AETC Training Support Flight CC/Chief of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Stephen T. Bailey – 314th Training Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Presidio of Monterey, California 

AETC Training Support Jr. Enlisted Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Malcolm G. Fowler – 81st Training Support Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi

AETC Training Support NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Carl R. Coscione – 81st Training Support Squadron (2nd Air Force) – Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
