Coming soon, Keesler Air Force Base will limit access to specific areas on base. Only personnel with operation critical badges are allowed into the sectored off locations.

The Commissary, Keesler Medical Center, Exchange and Shoppette will still be accessible without operation critical badges. Traffic barriers, signs and personnel will direct traffic to the locations they are authorized.

Members who do not have operation critical badges are required to work from home with guidance from leadership for proper check-in or telework procedures.

The Ploesti Drive barrier will be open 24 hours. All other barriers will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

These measures were put in place to ensure the critical training mission on Keesler continues and to slow the spread of the virus in the community.

Team Keesler remains at Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie.

In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, please take the following actions:

  • Strict hygiene (No handshaking, wipe common-use items)
  • If exposed, self-isolate (Wear mask and remain home)
  • Avoid contaminated water/food or risk area
  • Communicate personal risk and symptoms
  • Follow social distancing procedures (avoid large gatherings, keeping six feet distance from others)

The Keesler Medical Center continues to take all necessary precautions to protect our forces and their families while safeguarding our healthcare mission capabilities during the current global outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19). To keep up-to-date on closures, visit the Keesler Website at https://www.keesler.af.mil/Health/.
