First AETC Virtual Tech Tuesday planned for March 2 Published Feb. 25, 2021 Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, Texas – Airmen are invited to AETC’s first virtual Tech Tuesday, March 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. central. The event is co-hosted by the 2nd Air Force and 19th Air Force and supported by AETC’s Analysis and Innovation Directorate. The virtual event will showcase AETC innovations and foster collaboration by bringing innovators within The First Command together. The theme for the first Virtual Tech Tuesday Expo is “Applications that Innovate in Training.” “Collaboration and information sharing are the lifeblood of innovation,” said Col. William Mamourieh, AETC director of analysis and innovation. “This event will showcase exciting innovations by Airmen who are transforming the way we learn.” Innovations like the Air Traffic Control Schoolhouse Pocket App created by a team at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. The app was one of two semi-finalists from AETC that competed for the chance to present on-stage at the Air Force Association Air Warfare Symposium in February 2021. While the invention did not advance to the finals, it did win the AETC Spark Tank Challenge in October 2020. This designation means their innovation will be assisted on its path toward full development and implementation. In total, four innovations will be presented during AETC’s Virtual Tech Tuesday, with a question and answer session to foster greater chances of association between ideas and blend viewpoints. “This even will provide a great forum to share ideas, build relationships, and inspire more First Command Airmen to bring forward and operationalize their ground-breaking ideas,” said Mamourieh.
