KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss.-- Instructors and students of the 334th Training Squadron participated in the seventh annual Airman 1st Class Antoine Holt Memorial 5k Run, ending with 21 push-ups at the Triangle Track on April 1.

Holt was a command and control battle management operations operator killed during a mortar attack in Iraq on April 10, 2004.

“If you don’t remember the people before you, their memory fades into the background,” said Tech. Sgt. Collin Barnes, 334th TRS command and control battle management operations instructor. “No one who’s given their life for this country deserves to be forgotten.”

Due to COVID-19, the sixth annual 5k event was not held, but that did not stop instructors and students from participating this year honoring Holt and keeping his legacy alive.

“I feel very honored and blessed that I’m able to take part in these events to honor our fallen heroes that came before us,” said Tech. Sgt. Joshua Barich, 334th TRS C2BMO instructor.
