First Faces: A1C Brett Ison

  • Published
This week's First Faces nominee is Airman 1st Class Brett Ison, 314th Training Squadron, Presidio of Monterey, Calif.

Ison is from Cheboygan, Mich., a small farm town in northern Michigan, and is currently a student at the Defense Language Institute to become an airborne cryptologic linguist.

Even as a student in technical school, Ison made a positive difference in his squadron as well as his community.

Ison dedicated 325 hours of service while in charge of the designated driver program, saving lives by preventing 2,000 service members from driving under the influence.

Additionally, Ison volunteered 95 hours with the Star Rider Program, a non-profit org that provides therapeutic horseback riding to mentally and physically handicapped children.
