Caulk made Air Education and Training Command proud as he took home the award for Company Grade Analyst of the Year at the Air Force Analyses, Assessments and Lessons Learned annual awards banquet Nov. 18 in San Antonio, Texas. The annual awards banquet recognizes the contributions analysts, lessons learned professionals and leaders have made to the Air Force mission. Military award winners are entitled to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon. AETC nominated two individuals and one team from the Studies and Analysis Squadron to compete for awards at the Air Force level. Capt. Ryan Caulk was nominated for Company Grade Analyst of the Year; Marlon Gardley was nominated for the Senior Civilian Analyst of the Year; and the AETC SAS Studies and Technology Innovation Team were nominated for the Analytic Team of the Year Award. Col. Cynthia Brown, headquarters Air Force A9 chief analyst, presented the award for Company Grade Analyst of the Year to Captain Caulk. Captain Caulk led a team of eight AETC analysts to study complex operations which directly affected over $200 million in funds, said Colonel Brown. He also created a survey which led to new command initiatives valued at $22 million. The captain headed a chief of the Air Force dashboard item which ultimately resulted in a 35 percent reduction in wait time duration for pilot candidates, saving more than an estimated $16 million.
