Sheppard donates more than $328,000 to CFC Published Oct. 21, 2009 By Airman 1st Class Adawn Kelsey 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Sheppard exceeded its goal this year, raising more than $328,000 from 1,683 donors during the Combined Federal Campaign fundraiser Sept. 2 through Oct. 9. The generosity of the Sheppard community helped the base surpass its goal of $265,000. "Considering the economy, the base excelled," said Lt. Col. Michael Braucher, 365th Training Squadron commander and Sheppard's CFC chairman. "Airmen in training were particularly generous with their limited resources, but it was a team effort with many extra duty hours by key workers and volunteers." The colonel said Team Sheppard really came through for another great year of the CFC fundraising. For more information about this year's campaign, visit www.opm.gov/cfc.
