318th RCS trainer mourned after unexpected death Published June 16, 2008 By Staff Sergeant Jennifer Lindsey Air Force Recruiting Service Public Affairs RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Master Sgt. Leon Wall, 318th Recruiting Squadron, died at about 8 a.m. June 13 on the Gettysburg College campus in Gettysburg, Penn. The recruiting trainer was on the college campus attending an Air Force recruiting training conference when he collapsed while walking to his room after completing a group physical fitness activity. Nearby Airmen immediately called 911, and administered first aid and CPR. The sergeant was then transported via ambulance to the Gettysburg hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The death appears to be of natural causes, but the actual cause has not yet been determined pending an autopsy. Col. Tony Henderson, 360th Recruiting Group commander said, "Leon Wall was a great Airman, teammate, and friend. He embodied everything you could want from a professional ... and so much more. He is already missed!" The 318th RCS, located in New Cumberland, Penn., is a unit of Air Force Recruiting Service's 360th Recruiting Group.
