The driver of the Air Force-sponsored No. 21 Ford for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series currently appears in a public service announcement video promoting driving safety.

In the 90 second segment, driver Jon Wood emphasizes the use of seat belts, observing speed limits, and not driving after drinking.

The video is suitable for use on local commercial and public television broadcasts, installation command channels, and Armed Forces Radio and Television Service programs, as well as during commander's calls and safety briefings.

Copies are available free to all Department of Defense units through the Defense Automated Visual Information System/Defense Instructional Technology Information System site: Enter "NASCAR" in the search field. The Product ID Number is 614647, and the title is "U.S. Air Force NASCAR Driving Safety."

Mr. Wood made his Nextel Cup debut in the No. 21 Wood/JTG Ford car in 2007. Sponsorship is changing for the 2008 season from Nextel to the Sprint Cup, starting with the season opener at the Daytona 500 on Feb. 17.
