AF releases report on toddler's death Published Jan. 16, 2008 Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Air Force today released a report of investigation into the Sept. 19, 2007, death of Devon M. Davis, two-year-old dependent son of Senior Airman Michael P. Davis and Kathryn G. Davis, citing the cause of death as accidental as a result of workplace complacency. The investigation board found that Devon Davis accompanied his parents to his father's off-duty work place at Tyndall Air Force Base's Pelican Point Golf Course. Airman Davis was employed by the golf course to clean and maintain golf carts. While moving a cart from one area of the storage facility to another, Airman Davis put the cart in reverse. He failed to see Devon behind the golf cart and ran over him. Devon died as a result of blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the collision. Col. Bernard A. Schwartze, from Pueblo, Colo., served as president of the ground accident investigation board.
