Altus units earn command-level awards Published Nov. 19, 2007 By Senior Airman Clinton Atkins 97th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Two organizations here were recognized recently for excellence by Air Education and Training Command. The 97th Air Mobility Wing garnered the 2008 Commander in Chief's Installation Excellence Award for AETC. The 97th Operations Support Squadron earned the Special Recognition for Installation Excellence Award for AETC. The CINC's Installation Excellence Award recognizes the outstanding and innovative efforts of base personnel operating and maintaining U.S. military installations. The Special Recognition for Installation Excellence Award recognizes organizations demonstrating innovative and imaginative thinking which leads to noteworthy achievements. Both units will represent AETC at the Air Force competition.
