AETC announces 2008 National Public Service Award

  • Published
Air Education and Training Command is pleased to announce Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Pelkey, 338th Training Squadron, Fort Gordon, Ga., as the AETC winner for the 2008 National Public Service Award.

Sergeant Pelkey raised more than $11,000 and volunteered countless hours for charity. These dollars were used to build a new library for school children, fund medical research for cancer, arthritis, and heart disease, and support countless other community projects. He also led an eight person team to reconstruct a community center after the original building was destroyed in a massive tornado that devastated Oklahoma City in 1999.

The command congratulates Sergeant Pelkey for his significant accomplishments.
