MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. (AETCNS) --
The College for Aerospace Doctrine, Research and Education at Air University has published and distributed the Fall 2006 English edition of the Air Force's professional journal, Air and Space Power Journal.
The journal serves as an open forum for the presentation and stimulation of innovative thinking about air and space power's role in national defense.
The focus of the Fall 2006 English edition is "Joint Air and Space Power." Articles include, "Counterinsurgency Airpower: Air-Ground Integration for the Long War," which focuses attention on improved joint military cooperation in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and poses suggestions for better cooperation; "Filling the Stealth Gap and Enhancing Global Strike Task Force Operations"; "Molecular Nanotechnology and National Security"; and a pro-con debate arguing for and against the continuation of the Red Flag exercise, an aerial war game held periodically at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
Along with the English version of ASPJ, Portuguese, Arabic, French and Spanish versions are also available, and all versions are available online at www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil. Each language edition of the journal stands independently of the others.
The ASPJ web site also includes information about subscribing to or submitting potential articles to any language version of Air and Space Power Journal.
The various-language editions of the Air and Space Power Journal publish quarterly and reach readers in more than 90 countries. The upcoming Winter 2007 English edition will focus on "Leading the 21st Century Air Force."
