Orton Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AETCNS) -- Air Education and Training Command and the San Antonio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development will host its 5th Annual Technology in Education and Training Conference May 10-11 at the Norris Conference Center at Crossroads Mall in San Antonio. "The free two-day conference provides an opportunity for attendees to share information about how emerging instructional technology can enhance education and training programs," said Ms. Ladonna McGrew, AETC Technical Training Requirements Instructional Systems Technologist and AETC's point of contact for this year's TETC. The theme of this year's conference is "Leveraging Technology and Fostering Innovation: Toward a More Effective Learning Environment." General William R. Looney III, AETC commander, will serve as the keynote speaker May 10 at 1:30 p.m. Conference speakers will discuss training and education requirements, best practices, lessons learned, hands-on applications, and case studies. The track focus areas are: "meeting emerging needs with technology," "simulation and gaming," and "implementing and evaluating learning environments." "In addition to conference speakers, there will be three panel discussions in the areas of emerging instructional technologies and corporate learning visions," Ms. McGrew said.
