17 SFS member receives Sheriff’s Award

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas-- Bradley Smelt, 17th Security Forces Squadron police officer, assisted a Tom Green County Sheriff’s deputy with apprehending a fugitive, in San Angelo on May 18.

Smelt and another individual helped a deputy restrain the suspect until placed into custody.

Smelt was off duty at the time of the incident and received the Sheriff’s Award for going above and beyond his duty as a citizen.
