From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, 2021, the Altus Air Force Base Hispanic heritage special observance group treated airmen and family members of Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma to a month-long celebration during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The group showcased Hispanic culture by hosting multiple events on base, including: Caribbean dance lessons, a hands-on cooking class and a large fiesta to close out the month.

According to hispanicheritagemonth.gov, the month is designed to celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
