JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Chief Master Sgts. Erik Thompson and Kathleen McCool will host a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ event to answer questions from Airmen about assignment priority updates for Force Generators live beginning at 2 p.m. central time/3 p.m. eastern time Oct. 7.

Thompson is Air Education and Training Command’s senior enlisted leader, while McCool is the senior enlisted leader for Second Air Force. The two will take questions together for two hours.

As part of a series of recently-announced changes to enlisted assignments designed to increase quality of life and fairness in policy, Airmen who are returning to their career field from a CONUS stabilized tour as a military training instructor, military training leader or enlisted accessions recruiter will now have the permanent change of station categorized as Priority 2 rather than Priority 4.

“Our Force Generators are the front-line in developing tomorrow’s Airmen and Guardians, and we need high-quality talent on the front lines to ensure our Airmen are ready for the challenges ahead,” Thompson said. “We’re going to ensure that these roles are appropriately incentivized to reflect the high value we place on them. If you have a question about these changes or about Force Generator roles, please ask us. We want to hear from you.”
