Goodfellow Air Force Base celebrated Veterans Day alongside the San Angelo community, Nov. 5, 2022. The San Angelo All Veterans Council hosted a Veterans Day parade downtown featuring local businesses, charities, veterans groups, and a series of military formations.

The festivities carried on throughout the day at Angelo State University’s annual military appreciation night. Food, live music, and tickets to the ASU Ram football game were free and open to current and former service members and their families.

U.S. Air Force Col. Matthew Reilman, 17th Training Wing commander, performed the coin flip, and heads of Goodfellow’s joint service units presented the game ball.

“It’s always great to see the love that San Angelo has for the 17th Training Wing,” said Reilman. “We wouldn’t be able to train our students to the level of excellence we strive for without the deep connection and peerless relationship we have to the people of this city.”
