Air Education and Training Command’s Inaugural Torch Athena Rally & Fly-In is set to take place Sept. 19-21, 2023.

This three-day event is being held to inspire, empower, and celebrate women's aviation and military contributions. The event will kick off with a series of engaging activities and discussions at Tech Port San Antonio.

The lineup of influential guest speakers includes Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass and Maj. Gen. Michele Edmondson, 2nd Air Force commander, to name a few. Guest speakers will share insights on critical topics such as force diversity, leadership, female fitment in military roles, and the dynamics of family life within the military.

The three-day event concludes with the Girls in Aviation Day celebration, with AETC training aircraft on display at the Kelly Field flightline and local San Antonio students getting a closer look at Air Force life and career fields within the Air Force.

For media inquiries and access, please contact the AETC public affairs office at (210) 652-4400 or email at aetc.pao@us.af.mil. We are able to facilitate phone interviews with AETC and Torch Athena officials, and provide imagery for reporters not in the area or unable to attend.
