News Release Update: T-6 Emergency Landing at JBSA-Randolph Published April 3, 2024 By Sean Worrell 12th Flying Training Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- At approximately 11:30 a.m. CST today a T-6 aircraft from the 559th Flying Training Squadron conducted an emergency landing at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. The aircrew, emergency responders and supporting ground personnel executed emergency procedures, and the aircrew is safe. 12th Flying Training Wing Safety promptly executed all required protocols, ensuring efficient management of this incident. An assessment of the aircraft to determine the extent of any damage is currently pending. An investigation into the cause of the emergency landing will be conducted to prevent future occurrences. The safety of our personnel and the integrity of our equipment and facility are critical to our flight training mission.
