Officials from Air Education and Training Command will host the annual Air Force Day at the Alamo on April 22, 2024, from 11 a.m. to noon at Alamo Plaza in downtown San Antonio.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature various displays and exhibits, along with demonstrations and performances by AETC units stationed at Joint Base San Antonio, including the Military Working Dogs Demo Team, Explosive Ordnance Detachment Demo Team, and the United States Air Force Band of the West. Additionally, the John Paul Stevens High School AFROTC Drill team will perform.

Air Force Day at the Alamo, held annually during Fiesta, celebrates the Air Force's enduring partnership with leaders from across Military City USA.

Air Education and Training Command's mission is to find, recruit, train, and educate the Airmen the nation needs with the competencies to defend our country anywhere, anytime. AETC includes the Air Force Recruiting Service, both headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. AETC's training mission makes it the first command to touch the lives of every Air Force member.

Fiesta celebrations date back to 1891 when horse-drawn carriages circled Alamo Plaza, and participants pelted each other with flowers. Today, Fiesta San Antonio has grown into an 11-day celebration of diverse heritage, cultures, and traditions.
