Col. Shamekia Toliver, 42nd Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Caleb Vaden, 42nd Wing command chief, share a Veterans Day message from Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.

Veterans Day is an annual federal holiday in the United States observed on November 11th, honoring military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. The day is dedicated to thanking living veterans for their service and to honor the sacrifices they made for their country. The holiday was originally known as Armistice Day, but was renamed in 1954 to Veterans Day.
