AETC releases new ‘Heritage Today’ video series Published Sept. 22, 2015 By Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- The Profession of Arms Center of Excellence released two new Airman professionalism videos today as part of the Heritage Today series. The Heritage Today series are Air Force heritage stories linked to current real-world Air Force operations. Col. Joseph Rizzuto, Director of PACE, said these videos challenge Airmen with stories of Air Force heritage and emphasize the Core Values by using the enabler characteristics of character, judgment, and commitment as the building blocks of professionalism. “The video series describes character traits that define our lives as Airmen,” he said. “As Airmen, they help us define our identity.” The first two videos of the Heritage Today series, entitled “Oath of Service” and “Commitment” were released in February. In April, four more videos, entitled “Mutual Respect,” “Excellence,” “Selflessness,” and “Trust,” were released. The two new videos are “Core Values” and “Loyalty.” Core Values emphasizes “excellence is not perfection, integrity is not sainthood, and selflessness doesn’t mean you don’t matter.” The Loyalty video reminds us, “Your devotion to duty and to your fellow Airmen, your love of country, your moral choices (on and off duty), will inspire loyalty in others.” “These videos are going to bring home some very meaningful points for each Airman,” said Carol Wall, PACE’s Senior Instructional Designer. “They are about Core Values, but more importantly, they take us back to our roots.” Videos are featured on the PACE YouTube Channel at “USAF Professionalism” or visit: http://www.airman.af.mil/
