AETC leadership tours Laughlin Published March 18, 2016 By Airman 1st Class Brandon May 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas -- Lt. Gen. Darryl Roberson, commander of Air Education and Training Command, and Chief Master Sgt. David Staton, AETC command chief, visited Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, March 16 and 17. Roberson and Staton toured the 47th Medical Group, 47th Maintenance Directorate, 86th Flying Training Squadron and other base agencies to discuss and observe operations with wing leadership. This is Roberson’s second visit to Laughlin since taking command of AETC in July 2015. While at Laughlin, Roberson thanked members of Team XL and reiterated the importance of the 47th Flying Training Wing’s mission. “America’s airpower," he said, “starts here.”
