Network Management Infrastructure Associate

The earner of this badge completed one Network Management Associate course and attained the knowledge and ability to perform duties of an Infrastructure Technician, with the basic knowledge of the Layer Two/Three of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model, network switching/routing configurations, TCP/IP, VoIP, and Network Security.

Earning Criteria

• Complete one Network Management Associate course (NMIA,  CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, or equivalency).
• Complete the NMI checklist.
• The checklist was reviewed by the Earner's supervisor and recommended for the award of the NMI Associate badge.

Standards

Network Management Infrastructure-Associate (NMIA)

Graduates of the NMIA course will demonstrate competency in basic instructions, procedures, and implementation of multi-layer switched networks along with an introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Earners of the CCNA certification will demonstrate competency in knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, and automation and programmability.

Juniper Enterprise Routing and Switching Certification (JNCIA-Junos)

Earners of the JNCIA certification will demonstrate competency in JUNOS OS fundamentals, user interfaces, configuration basics, operational monitoring and maintenance, routing fundamentals, routing policy, and firewall filters.
